Name:IEC 60335-1 Clause 25.15 Cord Anchorage Pull Force And Torque Test Apparatus
Type:BND-DLN
Manufacturer:The Cord Anchorage Pull Force and Torque Test Apparatus is designed and manufactured according to the standard requirements of IEC60335-1 clause 25.15, IEC60065:2014 clause 16.5, IEC60884-1, IEC60598-1, etc.
Product Description:

Cord Anchorage Pull Force and Torque Test Apparatus

Product Overview

The Cord Anchorage Pull Force and Torque Test Apparatus is meticulously engineered to comply with the stringent standards set forth in IEC 60335-1 clause 25.15, IEC60065:2014 clause 16.5, IEC60884-1, and IEC60598-1. This apparatus is indispensable for ensuring the durability and reliability of household appliance power cords by subjecting them to rigorous pull force and torque testing.

Features

Compliance with International Standards**: Adheres to IEC 60335-1 clause 25.15, ensuring global applicability.

Versatile Testing Capability**: Suitable for a wide range of household appliances.

Precision Engineering**: Equipped with high-quality weights and clamps for accurate testing.

User-Friendly Interface**: Easy-to-use controls and settings for seamless operation.

Test Process

To ensure the cord anchorage's robustness, the following test procedure is employed:

1. Marking: A mark is made on the cord approximately 20 mm from the cord anchorage while subjected to a pull force.

- For fixed appliances, a pull force of 100N is applied.

- For other appliances, values as specified in Table 12 are used.

2. Pull Force Application: The cord is pulled without jerking for 1 second in the most unfavorable direction with the specified force. This process is repeated 25 times.

3. orque Application: The cord, unless on an automatic reel, is subjected to a torque applied as close as possible to the appliance for 1 minute, as specified in Table 12.

The description of the standard IEC 60335-1 Clause 25.15
--“Appliances provided with a supply cord, and appliances intended to be permanently connected to fixed wiring by a flexible cord, shall have a cord anchorage. The cord anchorage shall relieve conductors from strain, including twisting, at the terminals and protect the insulation of the conductors from abrasion.
It shall not be possible to push the cord into the appliance to such an extent that the cord or internal parts of the appliance could be damaged.
Compliance is checked by inspection, by manual test and by the following test.
A mark is made on the cord while it is subjected to the pull force shown in Table 12, at a distance of approximately 20 mm from the cord anchorage or other suitable point.
The cord is then pulled, without jerking, for 1 s in the most unfavourable direction with the force specified. The test is carried out 25 times.
The cord, unless on an automatic cord reel, is then subjected to a torque that is applied as close as possible to the appliance. The torque is specified in Table 12 and is applied for 1 min.
